Fairbanks Hall is one of the original buildings at OSU. The restoration focused on maintaining the historic integrity of the structure while improving the building's performance and assuring longevity.

Careful attention to detail was essential to maintain the noted appearance of the building.  Work involved strengthening the basement walls, removing wall insulation, custom manufactured insulated windows and a carefully selected exterior color scheme.  To make Fairbanks Hall accessible, an elevator project was designed in 2003 and is ready to be implemented as soon as funding comes available.
